Hanging Out

Ben jumped on a couch and landed comfortably on his back. He flipped a textbook open. His music was blasting, it could be heard seeping through the headphones. Ben tapped his pencil to the beat. He wasn't even really paying attention to the work.

Danielle walked into the student lounge, she saw her brother Ben... She walked toward him behind him and took off his headphones to hear what he was listening. "Nice song, brother." She said.

Ben turned his head around, trying to look for whoever took his headphones. He saw his sister and grinned. "Taking my headphones. Meanie." Ben pouted and reached for his headphones. "What are you up to?"

"You know how much I like your music too." Danielle said as she smiled. She went to sit by the couch with him. "I am just thinking that all." She said.

Ben sat up and adjusted himself. "Yeah and what's on your mind? Come on, share."

"Just thinking how this year might be different after 2 years here. Free from our father." Danielle said.

"Just don't bring him up. Come on Dani, you know he's no longer around to bother us again." Ben scoffed. "We never have to hear from him. We're on our own now and it's for the best."

"You never know if he might come back. That is my worst fear from him." Danielle said as she looked away for moment, "This is going to be different. I know it is from the sound of people no longer crying."

"If he comes back, I'll kill him. He knows I will." Ben growled and clenched his fist. There was a brief flicker of fire. "Who know how long those people won't be crying. There've been rumors of another war. Ireland won't be able to survive another war by staying neutral."

"Ben claim down..." Danielle said as she put her hands on his hand that had a brief of fire. "I heard rumors too, but Ireland can fight."

Zylee walked into the room, and dropped her bookbag on the floor as she walked. She looked around the room a placed her hands on her hips, no body was realy there... other then two others.

She walked over to a table and sat down, her notebook in her hands, placing it on the table and taking the pen from out of behind her ear. Bored, she sat there drawling.

Ben opened his mouth to reply, but snapped it shut when he saw another girl come in. "We'll talk about it later." He muttered to Danielle. Ben nodded his acknowledgment toward the girl who just walked in before turning back to his work.

Artemis walked in and sat down with her books and started some studying.

"We will talk about it later." Danielle said as she was now having trouble with her healing hand. "I see you later." she said as she left the room since she didn't want the other girl to see her healing hand go black but she did it to stop Ben fire.

Ben grimaced when he saw Danielle's hand. "Sorry about that..." He unclenched his fist. "All right. Catch you later." Ben said and put his headphones back on.

Hannah walked in with her earphones in her ears and walked over to her best friend Artemis. "Hey Arty, what's up?" she asked sitting down.

"Hey Han." Artemis said not looking up from her book. "I could hear you before you even sat down. Your music is to loud, your going to bust your ears."

"YOu tell me that everyday Arty and still has not happened." Hannah said and took out the earbuds.

"Hi Missy, hey Hannah." Athena said walking into the room.

Ben leaned back on the couch, he closed his textbook and tossed it on the table. "Looks like we got a party now. How are you ladies doing?" He asked with a goofy grin.

Artemis looked up at the guy who talked and remembered his name was Ben. "Hi, doing good I guess."

"Hannah, Artemis. Looking good you two." Ryan said walking in and put an arm around both of them.

"Hi Ryan." Artemis said and looked at him. He had been spending a lot of time around her, especially when Apollo was around. "Listen, stay away from my sister." she said glaring at him.

"Why? I didn't do anything to her." He asked confused.

"No, but you have a reputation for getting with a girl making her fall in love with you then tearing her heart out. Apollo doesn't need that and I know you will do that to her if you keep trying to get with her." Artemis said glaring at him. "Besides you've been with me the last month."
