Goofing Off

Ben opened the door and held it for Alice. "Don't touch anything. You break it. You buy it." He chuckled jokingly.

"Haha very funny Ben." Alice said and walked in. "You actually held the door open like a gentleman. I'm impressed."

"Why thank you." Ben bowed sarcastically. He walked in after her, they found a booth and Ben slid in his seat. "Even a dork can occasionally act like a gentleman."

"Sometimes." Alice said laughing. She slid into the opposite side of the booth and ordered a caramel Latte. "So, Benny, how's your classes?"

"You're asking me? Let's see. I never study. I don't pay attention." Ben pretended to think. "It's going great." He ordered a beer and grinned at Alice. "What about you?"

"I swear some of the classes are going to kill. Remind me why i'm going into a Law major again?" Alice asked sighing. But she remembered all to well why she picked her major.

Danielle walked into Matchstick cafe as she saw her brother Ben with some girl. She didn't want to bother him if he was on a date with the mystery girl. She took a empty table some where and hopefully Ben doesn't noticed her.

"Hey isn't that your sister?" Alice asked pointing to the younger girl.

Ben turned in the direction Alice was pointing. "Oh yeah it is. OY DANI!" He shouted over the band that was playing. "Wonder what she's doing here by herself."

Danielle heard her nick name being called which was her brother Ben voice who shouted over the band that was playing. "Hi Ben." She said as she walked to him and some girl.

Ben looked from his sister, to Alice and back. It was all rather awkward for him. "This is Alice Hale. Alice this is my sister Danielle."

Alice smiled at the girl. "Hi Danielle. It's nice to finally meet you."

"Hello Alice, it nice to meet you too." Danielle said as she smiled at her. "You must be my dear brother girlfriend?" she asked Alice.

Alice smiled and nodded. "That's me."

Ben choked back his surprise. He quickly took a swig from his beer bottle and gave Alice a questioningly look. Well he wouldn't mind having her as a girlfriend if that was how she wanted it to be. "Yup, you caught us Dani."

Alice just smiled at him and took a sip of her drink. "Ben's told me a lot of great things about you." Alice commented.

"I thought there were not enough things great things about me. Maybe it just the good times he talks about when I am happy." Danielle said to Alice which she was a bit surprised to hear that Ben talked great things about her. "I caught you, didn't I? This is the first time I ever seen you dating, Ben." She said to her dear brother.

Alice smiled. "Ever brother finds something good in their sisters." she replied and took another sip of her drink. "I have two older brothers, I annoy them and they are too overprotective of me but we always find something good in each other."

Ben reached over and grabbed Alice's hand. "Well I figured it was about time I started seeing somebody." He smirked. "Alice just happened to be there."

Alice rolled her eyes. "Oh gee thanks Ben. That makes me feel real nice."

Danielle smiled at Alice once again which she seemed like a nice girl, hopefully their relationship will last long. "I don't annoy Ben much for some reason. He is very overprotected of me due the bad years." she said. She chuckled at Ben words a bit but said, "I hope it last well."

"Yeah, he's like that with me too." Alice said but in a tone meaning she wouldn't explain why. "My brothers don't trust me and him together much." Alice said laughing at the thought.

Ben glared. "Not funny. I can't do anything around your brothers. Any move and I might die."

Alice smiled. "Yeah, no clue why they don't like you...unless you did something?"

"I believe you do the same thing to me and Kevin, Ben..." Danielle said as she was mentioning her relationship with Kevin which on the first date, he almost attacked Kevin. Even before he knew that Kevin is a vampire. "You attacked him on the first date, remember?"
